"Enjoy your flight Dr. Roberts," the clerk at the counter said as she handed me my boarding pass.
"Thank you," I nodded as I took the pass and picked up my carry on.
For once, the line at security wasn't bad. I quickly made it through and headed straight for the bar in the first class lounge.
As I sipped my drink, I looked around casually, glad that no one had recognized me. Never had I imagined that I would become a minor celebrity but over the last few months, that's what I'd become. First and foremost though I was a doctor. An obstetrician to be exact who only practiced with male patients.
Male pregnancy was still a relatively new phenomenon, only starting to occur around 15 years ago right before I entered medical school. What was first thought to be a genetic fluke in some men was soon understood to be widespread and the medical field of male pregnancy quickly flourished. I was my school's first student to graduate with a medical degree in the field of male pregnancy.
Over the following years, male pregnancy became more common place and accepted in society to the point nowadays that no one bats an eye when they see a pregnant man or looks at me funny when I tell them what type of medicine I practice. However last year it dawned on me that pregnant men were lacking in one area compared to women: tips and advice on pregnancy. No one had capitalized yet on the market of first time fathers, men who didn't know what to expect when they're expecting, so I decided to.
Using my knowledge, earlier this year I completed the first guide to male pregnancy written for "every man". For the past few months, I'd been traveling the country on a book tour going on dozens of tv shows, participating in what seemed like hundreds of book signings and doing interviews for magazines, newspapers, blogs, whatever. It seemed like suddenly everyone realized that something like my book had been missing and now that it was out, everyone wanted to read it and everyone wanted to talk with me.
Of course I was glad that my book was helping so many men but if I had ever understood that my life would become this crazy after writing the book, I may have given it a second thought. I told that to my publisher last week and she promised me that everything would settle down soon and finally it was. I had finally reached the last leg of the tour and was glad to be going home.
Overhead, the speaker announced my flight was boarding. I finished my drink and headed for the gate. I chuckled quietly to myself as I waited to board, remembering that when the tour first began, I hated flying and had succeeded in avoiding it whenever possible til that point. Now though I was on a plane nearly every other day. I still didn't like it, but flying is so much better when you fly first class as I now do. And it's so much better when one of the flight attendants is such eye candy the way he was...
As I gave the clerk my ticket and my carry on, I wondered if I'd get to see my favorite flight attendant one more time? Chapter 2:
I was shown to my seat by a nice, young flight attendant but SHE wasn't who I was looking for. I watched quietly as others boarded the plane, watching for but not seeing him.
I knew it was a stretch that he'd be on this flight but he'd been on at least 5 of my recent flights so I figured there was a chance. But then again, I didn't know if he was still flying now, last time I saw him a few weeks ago he looked like he was overdue. He was huge.
I still hadn't seen him as the plane taxied down the runway so I figured he wasn't on board. After a smooth takeoff, the flight attendant who had shown me to my seat came around to take drink orders.
"What can I get you this evening, Dr. Roberts?" she asked with a smile.
"Gin and tonic," I replied, returning the smile.
She was back quickly with my drink, which she placed on my fold down tray. "Anything else I can get you?'
"No thank you I'm fine for now," I said.
"Very well," she said as she backed away. "Just let me know if there's anything else I can do for you."
"Actually," I said. "There might be."
"Yes?" she asked.
"Well I was just curious," I began. "I've seen a young man, a flight attendant like yourself," I said with a nervous chuckle. "And well I was just wondering if he was still flying?"
"Still flying?" she asked with a puzzled face.
"Yes because the last time I saw him he was very," I hesitated. "Well very pregnant!"
"Oh!" she laughed. "You mean Colin!"
"Colin," I repeated. "He's tall, has black hair," I began to describe.
"Yep that's Colin," she nodded. "As soon as you said, 'very pregnant' I knew it was Colin," she giggled.
"Well I was just curious how he was doing. Has he stopped flying?" I asked.
"Oh no," she said. "He's still flying. How he's doing it I have no idea," she laughed. "You should see him now! He's due in two weeks," she said holding her arms way out in front of her. "With triplets!"
"Triplets?" I repeated. "My goodness! I thought he was big but I would have never guessed he was carrying triplets and I'm a doctor!"
"Well he's a big guy," she shrugged. "I think that kind of makes him not look like he's carrying so much or it did anyway. When was the last time you saw him?"
"Oh a few weeks ago?" I shrugged.
"Well you should see him now," she laughed. "He's massive!"
"I bet!" I laughed. God I wanted to see him so bad now.
"He's on this flight actually," she said. "He's working business class."
"Really?" I asked with a cough as I choked slightly on my drink.
"Yes sir," she said. "I'll see if he can come up here when he has a chance."
"Oh no," I said, shaking my head. "I was just curious. Please don't disturb him."
"Ok," she nodded as she walked away.
I took another sip of my drink and wondered how I would get through the rest of the flight without jumping out of my seat to run back to business class to see him. It wasn't like I could downgrade my seat, I mean I could but this was a 5 hour flight and as much as I wanted to see him, I wasn't going to suffer through a flight in business class.
Resigning myself, I reclined my seat and decided to get some rest. At least in my dreams I could do what I really wanted to do to Colin.
Chapter 3:
I had been sleeping for a couple hours when I was gently woken by the flight attendant who had brought me my drink earlier. Thinking she was just letting me know that we would soon be landing, I simply nodded and adjusted my position.
"Dr. Roberts," she said more forcefully. "Someone is in need of medical attention right away."
I opened my eyes, blinked and stared at her for a moment, taking in what she was saying. I always wondered if I would ever be on a plane when someone called for a doctor and apparently my time had come.
"Ok," I said sitting up and shaking off the sleep. "Where are they?"
"In the crew galley," she said stepping aside so I could stand up. "This way please."
I followed her silently toward the middle of the plane. "I don't have any equipment with me," I said, suddenly realizing I might be ill-prepared for what faced me.
"The plane is equipped with medical supplies and equipment," she explained quietly, not wanting to alarm any of the passengers we were passing.
She pushed aside the curtain at the entrance of the galley and held it open for me to enter. "He's over here," she said pointing to the right.
Lying on the floor in front of me was none other than Colin, sweat coating his brow, as he panted heavily. His jacket was off and his shirt untucked, the bottom having rose up to reveal the bottom of his truly enormous, triplet-filled stomach.
"Are you a doctor?" he gasped.
I stood there for a moment, shocked into silence.
"Dr. Roberts," the other flight attendant prompted.
"Yes," I said, clearing my throat. "I'm a doctor."
"Good," Colin sighed. "Cause I think I'm in labor!"
Chapter 4:
I quickly got into doctor mode and assessed Colin's condition, taking his pulse and listening to his breathing. Although both were elevated, they were within the acceptable range.
"How close are the contractions?" I asked.
"About 8 minutes," he said, taking a deep breath.
"Your water didn't break I see," I said indicating his still dry pants.
"No," he nodded. "But I'm feeling a lot of pressure over my whole stomach," he said, running a hand over the orb. "I'm not due for another two weeks! Are the babies ok?"
"They're fine," I assured him. "I think you may just be experiencing Braxton-Hicks contractions," I said. "Have you had any contractions before?"
"No," Colin shook his head.
"Well the pressure you're feeling is most likely just a result of them," I explained. "I'm going to need to check though to see if you're dilated," I said, raising my eyebrows. "That means we're going to have to remove your pants."
"Oh ok," he said, nodding. "Krista, can you give me some privacy?"
"Sure," Krista, the other flight attendant said. "I'll go check your section for you."
"Thanks," Colin smiled. "Watch out for the old woman in 25B, she's a bitch."
Krista nodded as she left. "Thanks for the heads up."
I set about removing Colin's pants and was treated to quite a sight. His legs were amazing - massive and covered with fine, light brown hair. His legs had kept in shape over the course of his pregnancy, presumably from carrying around all the extra weight.
"No underwear I see," I laughed. "Makes things easier."
"Oh shit," he laughed, rolling his eyes. "I must've forgotten again. Pregnancy brain really sucks! I always forget the most simple things!"
"Let's get you to scoot your knees up," I said, tapping his legs. "Can you do that?"
"Yeah," he said, groaning slightly as he re-positioned his legs. With his legs higher, his belly was forced toward his chest, making it appear even bigger.
With his legs in position, I now had the view I needed of his ass, and it was quite a view. Like his legs, his ass was large and muscular but covered by a slight layer of pregnancy fat and free of hair. It was the ultimate bubble butt and I had to concentrate on not getting excited.
I gently spread Colin's ass apart so I could look at his hole. "Well," I said as I felt around softly, eliciting a moan from Colin. "You're not dilated."
"That's good right?" Colin asked from behind his mound. From my position, I couldn't see his face.
"It confirms my thought that you're just having some Braxton-Hicks contractions," I said.
"So I'm not in labor?" he asked, sounding slightly relieved.
"No," I said, as I closed his legs. "Not yet."
Chapter 5:
"Is this really necessary?" Colin asked as I wheeled him off the plane in a wheelchair. "I feel fine now."
"Just want to be safe," I said, patting his back.
My diagnosis was correct, Colin had been having Braxton-Hicks contractions. After I checked to see if he was dilated, he had one more contraction before they stopped. I spent the rest of the flight continuing to monitor Colin and once the contractions passed his breathing and heart rate returned to normal.
After filling out the necessary paperwork to document the incident for the airline, I got Krista to get Colin a wheelchair so I could get him off the plane, of course unfortunately after putting his pants back on.
I wheeled Colin to the baggage claim to get both our bags. There we saw Krista.
"So he's going to be ok?" Krista asked me as she rubbed Colin's shoulder.
"He'll be fine," I smiled. "Just a small case of false labor."
"Here's my bag," Krista said as she pulled her rolling bag off the belt. "Take care of him," she said to me. "And you," she said, leaning down to kiss Colin on the cheek. "If I don't see you before 'D Day', just get those three out safely. Don't worry about anything else."
"Thanks honey," Colin smiled, giving Krista an awkward hug from the chair.
I stood next to Colin as we waited for our bags. I grabbed his when it came around and had to wait for a minute before mine finally came out. It was a little awkward and uncomfortable but I was able to carry both our bags and push Colin towards the parking lot.
"I'm really fine," Colin said, looking up at me. "At least let me hold one of the bags for you Dr. Roberts."
"Call me Mike," I said as I continued on. "And no, you can't carry a bag."
"Where are we going?" he asked as we got into an elevator.
"To my car," I replied, hitting the button for the 2nd floor of the parking deck.
"And after that?" he asked.
"To my house."
"No," Colin said, shaking his head. "Just take me to the Marriott," he said. "That's where I always stay when I'm here. I'll fly home in the morning."
"Where's home?" I asked as we ascended.
"Arizona."
"No chance you're flying home tomorrow," I said.
"And why's that?" Colin asked.
"Really?" I asked. I had to laugh a little. "I shouldn't have to tell you this but you really shouldn't be flying in your condition."
"Mike," Colin said with a groan. "I told you I'm fine."
"Why don't you let me, the doctor here make that call," I said. "We'll go to my office tomorrow morning and I'll give you an exam and we'll go from there. How does that sound?"
"I don't really have a choice do I?" Colin sighed.
"Not really," I grinned. "You're under my direct medical care for now and you're not doing anything without my ok."
"Well can I at least stay in the hotel tonight?" he asked. "You've already done enough for me today and I don't want to put you out and like I said, I'm fine."
"Colin," I said, pausing to look down at him as he slowly ran both hands over his belly. "You're not putting me out and you're not staying at a hotel all by yourself tonight. You're nearly nine months pregnant with triplets and just experienced false labor. I really should be admitting you to the hospital right now! So you're choice is my house, or the hospital but no hotel."
"Fine," he sighed, resigning himself. "Your house it is I guess. I hate hospitals."
The elevator opened and we made our way to my car.
"Nice ride," Colin said as he saw my new Escalade Hybrid. "All this car for one guy?"
"Yeah I know," I said rolling my eyes. "At least it's a hybrid though."
Once I got Colin, our bags and the wheelchair loaded, I headed home.
"Is there anyone you need to call?" I asked as I got onto the freeway.
"Not really," Colin said from the passenger seat.
"No girlfriend?" I asked.
"Ha!" he laughed.
"Boyfriend?" I ventured.
"Nope," he said quietly. "Not anymore. He skipped out the moment he found out I was pregnant."
"Oh," I said, grimacing slightly. "Sorry."
"What can you do?" he shrugged.
"What about family?" I asked.
"Let's not go there," he said.
"Alright," I agreed.
We drove on in silence for a few minutes before it was interrupted by a loud rumble from Colin's stomach.
"Someone's hungry," I laughed, breaking the ice I felt slowly forming between us.
"I'm always hungry now," he laughed too. "I eat like a fucking horse nowadays."
"Well let's go home and order some take in," I suggested. "That sound ok?"
"Sure," Colin said, patting his belly. "We're in the mood for Chinese."
"Good choice," I said, reaching over to run a hand tentatively over Colin's belly. I saw him look at me a little funny out the corner of my eye but he didn't make a move to stop me so I left my hand there as I drove, running slow, small circles over the side of his belly. "Good choice indeed."
Chapter 6:
Colin wasn't kidding when he said he ate like a horse. In the time it took me to eat half my order of Singapore rice noodles with shrimp, he polished off his full orders of combination fried rice and vegetable lo mein.
"You even have any room left for your fortune cookie?" I laughed as I tossed it to him.
"Of course," he said with a grin. Getting food into him seemed to have brightened Colin's mood.
I got up to throw away our trash and put the rest of my noodles in the fridge when Colin stopped me.
"You gonna finish those?" he asked with raised eyebrows, indicating the noodles.
"Honestly," I said with a chuckle. "No. Here you go," I said, handing him the box. "I was going to put them in the fridge, don't know why though cause I never eat leftovers."
"Cause it makes you feel better," he said, through a mouthful, waving his fork around. "Makes you feel like at least you made an effort not to waste food."
"Exactly," I said. "But I don't have to worry since it's going to good use right now."
"Mmmhmm," Colin nodded. "These are really good."
"My favorite," I replied as I threw away the trash.
I sat back down at the table and watched Colin finish off the rest of my meal. You'd have thought the guy hadn't eaten in a week the way he was shoveling the food into his mouth. I had to discreetly adjust myself as I watched him. There was something about watching this hugely pregnant man stuff himself that was getting me horned up. I wanted to walk over and pull up his shirt to watch his stomach expand before my eyes but reason stopped me.
"So," I said as Colin scraped the bottom of the box, digging for the last remnants of food. "How old are you Colin?"
"31," he said. "You?"
"36" I sighed.
"That's within the acceptable range," he nodded.
"What do you mean?"
"For dating," he said with a shrug. "You're only 5 years older than me."
"Dating?" I asked, giving him a funny look.
"I'm kidding," he said, rolling his eyes. "As if you or anyone else would want to date me."
"You might be surprised," I said with a smirk.
"Yeah right!" he laughed. "So you seeing anyone?"
"Not at the moment," I said, running my finger over the rim of my glass. "Work's been keeping me pretty busy lately. Who knew writing a book would make keep me so busy?"
"That's where I know you!" Colin said, slapping the table. "You wrote that book! I have it. I read the whole thing. It was very helpful."
"Thank you," I smiled.
"You know," he said, pausing to take a sip of water. "You're much cuter in person than you are in your picture in the book."
"Thanks, I think?" I said slowly.
"It's true," he shrugged. "And that was a compliment," he confirmed.
Chapter 7:
The next morning I woke, showered, dressed and headed downstairs. Colin was in the kitchen eating cereal from a bowl I normally used for salads - big salads. The cereal box and jug of milk were close at hand.
"Morning," he said through a mouthful. "Hope you don't mind, I was starving," he said pointing to the bowl.
"Of course not," I said waiving him off. "But I've gotta say I'm surprised you're so hungry after all that Chinese you ate last night!" I joked as I poured myself a glass of orange juice.
"That was hours ago," he said as he reached for the box to top of the bowl. "I normally have a midnight snack too," he said as he poured more milk into the bowl. "But I managed to sleep through the night aside from a couple trips to the bathroom."
"So you slept well?" I asked, as I sat down across the table.
"Like a baby," he grinned, laughing at his own joke. "That's a really comfortable bed you've got in your guest room."
"Thanks," I smiled. "You think that one's comfortable, you should try mine."
"That an invitation?" he asked with a wink.
"Could be," I winked back.
"You gonna eat?" he asked as he shoved more cereal into his mouth.
"Normally I would but I," I said, pausing to emphasize my point. "Am still full from my meal last night."
"That's cause you're not eating for four," he shrugged. "I've been eating this way for months and aside from gaining over 125 lbs over the course of the pregnancy so far, I think I've kept in pretty good shape," he said modestly. "At least that's what my doctor told me."
"From what I've seen, I'd agree with that statement," I nodded.
"So how about that exam?" Colin asked.
"You're that anxious to be getting on your way huh?" I asked with a laugh.
"Well yes and no," he said slowly. "I mean I'm in no hurry to go home - I've got everything all done in the nursery but I am hoping to get back to work soon, at least for a little longer. It's not gonna be cheap raising triplets," he said, raising an eyebrow at me.
"You'll get paternity leave right?" I asked.
"Well yeah," Colin nodded. "But childcare for these three isn't gonna pay itself. As it is I'm gonna need to switch to working the counter at the airport after their born. Can't keep flying all over the place and be away from home for days at a time and that means a pay cut."
Honestly, as a doctor making the money I made, I easily forgot how some people struggled to make ends meet but it was certainly understandable that Colin, a young, soon to be single father would face some challenges.
"Plus, I don't want to be in your hair," he said standing up with some effort to take his bowl to the sink. I was tempted to get up to help him but I didn't want him to think I thought he was completely helpless.
"You're not in my hair," I said. "I find myself enjoying the company."
"Well I'm sure you have to get back to work now that you're done with your tour," he said as he came back to the table to get the cereal box and milk. He looked at me and saw my puzzled face. "I Googled you last night," he explained. "I wanted to know a little more about the man who's house I was sleeping in."
"I see," I nodded. "Well actually, I've got a free schedule for the next couple months. I took some much needed time off from work," I said. "From everything actually. I've got nothing planned and I'm so excited!"
"See," Colin said with a groan as he sat back down. "That's another reason why I need to go home. You're on vacation."
"True," I agreed. "But what fun's a vacation when you're all by yourself?"
"Well you had to think it'd be some fun," Colin smirked. "Otherwise you would've made some sort of plans."
"I guess," I shrugged. "No, actually not really. It wasn't well planned. I mean I'd end up doing something," I said, looking to Colin who was giving me a very skeptical look. "I mean it's not like I'm going to sit here all by myself the whole time."
"Well whatever you're going to plan," Colin said, standing again. Once he was standing, he braced his hands on his back, his belly pulling it forward from the great weight. "It doesn't include me so let's get to your office, get me checked out and get me home."
I sat there for a moment taking in Colin's beautiful, full-figured, nearly exploding form. Apparently I took it in a moment too long, causing Colin to stomp his foot, albeit in an obviously mock-angry fashion.
Ch. 8 ------------------------------------------------------- I helped Colin climb into the passenger seat of my Escalade, smirking as he emitted a labored grunt. The dashboard crowded his form and the very tip of his distended belly button jutted through the tight cloth of his shirt, just enough to touch the plastic panel. I hesitantly closed the door and climbed into the driver's seat.
I continued to glance over at him during the drive. He innocently palmed his mound while he glanced out the side window, oblivious to my darting eyes. We pulled up to a red traffic light and I immediately set my gaze on his orb. A figure danced under the fabric, a limb testing the elasticity of his taut skin. My hand lightly quaked, wanting to loosen its grip on the steering wheel and move across to that giant belly. The light turned green and I pressed on the accelerator.
I had been driving to my office for so long, my autopilot set in. As I instinctively took turns onto familiar streets, my mind began to wander. I imagined my bedroom, Colin on all fours. His naked body covered in a sheen of sweat as he struggled with the gravitational pull of his middle. I fantasized about him servicing me with his mouth, my hands combing through his hair and pressing down gently on the back of his head. I would slip behind him and tease his hole with my tongue, burying my face into his widening bubble butt. It would elicit moans and pleading from him. "Fuck me!" He'd cry, and I would pull him onto his side so I could kiss him or peck at a nipple as I entered. He'd moan as I'd slowly ease my way in, his pillow-y cheeks hugging my erection as I continued to thrust inwards. My hands would stray over his large quivering belly.
"Dr. Roberts?"
My fantasy dissipated like a mist as the interior of my Escalade caged me into reality.
"Yes?"
"Are you okay?" Colin asked, his face not filled with inquiry but concern...perhaps even a bit of disgust. Please tell me that he didn't hear me moan or mutter some obscenity. "You haven't said a thing since we left."
"Oh!" I was relieved. "Sorry, I just get lost in my thoughts when I drive. It's...you know, peaceful."
We were a block from my office. I pulled into the parking lot and immediately set to helping Colin out of the passenger seat. I unlocked the door and led him in. My staff was on leave while I toured, so the entire building was dark. I flicked the lights on and led him onwards. We stopped in the hallway to get his weight and check his blood pressure. I tried to mask my amazement as I wrote the figures down from the scale. In the exam room, I helped him onto the bed and left to wheel the ultrasound in.
"Time to check on our trio." I said as warmly as possible. I turned the machine on and readied the gel as he pulled his snug t-shirt upwards to reveal that massive belly. On the plane, the lighting was dim and I wasn't able to get a good look, but under the fluorescent lights I was able to take in its majesty. The dome was truly a sight to see. The skin was stretched tautly, as evidenced by a few crimson stretchmarks. A dark line ran down his pale skin, providing a beautiful contrast. His belly button sat atop the mound as if a glorious crown. His stomach rippled as one baby moved. I hesitated a moment and then dimmed the lights to see the screen. I began applying the gel, quickly finding his belly's contents. The swish-swish-swish of heartbeats filled the room.
"Well, here they are. It looks like one is in the head-down position and the other two are sitting up top." I looked at Colin, his face beaming. "They're not ready just yet, but I predict that you might get a head start on your due date by a day or two. Did you already know the sexes?"
"Yep! Three boys." Colin stated proudly, his glassy eyes glued to the screen.
I took snapshots of the feti and flipped on the lights. Grabbing a towel, I wiped his belly clean. Over the curve, his shirt was hitched up enough for me to see his considerably swollen nipples, the areolas dark enough to share the linea negra's pale skin contrast.
"Out of curiosity, will you be nursing or bottle-feeding?" I inquired, watching the dark circles heave with his chest.
"Nursing." Colin smiled. "The health benefits for the infants far outweigh any argument for bottle-feeding."
"Have you started to express milk yet?" My eyes shifting back to his.
"Just a bit, but there's a lot of pressure. I try to avoid touching them due to soreness." Colin replied.
"I should give you a breastpump, it'll help you to express the milk and relieve the pressure before the big day." I rubbed his knee in a friendly manner, my hands enjoying the tactile sensation of his leg hair. "Have you been feeling any more Braxton-Hicks contractions?"
"Nope, not since this morning. And they were very light."
"Well, that ends this examination. You're in good shape and will probably be on schedule for your due date. So on to more important things, are you hungry?" Ch. 9 I nudged a broccoli floret with my fork, pushing it around the plate to occupy the time while Colin polished off his lunch. I debated whether to begin the small talk but decided against it. He was far too busy devouring the contents of his plate. He was adorable when he ate, from time to time he would try to cover his mouth with his hands while he chewed, a bashful little habit. When he uncovered his mouth, I studied it. Full lips surrounded by a sea of stubble. Tender thoughts raced through my mind. It didn't take long for them to become dirty, and I desired to take his body in with my eyes. But now? Nevermind the fact that we were in public, the table obstructed my view of his swollen self. No, I couldn't. I could. Maneuvering nonchalantly, I knocked my knife off the table.
"Whoops!" I announced, and then dove down under the table, lifting the table cloth. There it was, a heaving orb perched upon his thighs. Even now it brimmed with life, a foot protruding here and there. I longed to reach out and touch it, caress it, cover the taut skin with my fingertips. But it had been a whole 5 seconds and I needed to retrieve my knife before I aroused suspicion. Speaking of arousal, I was thankful that I had my napkin in my lap.
"Clumsy me." I sat upright. He was still engrossed in his meal, finishing the last morsels and sopping up some marinara sauce with the complimentary bread. "What do you want to do next? Need to go shopping?" I asked.
Colin leaned back as he forked the last bit into his mouth, sighing with satisfaction. "Oh, I don't know. I could honestly go for a nap."
I smirked. "Already expended all your energy?"
"Yeah, I didn't get too much rest last night. Hunger pangs, flurries of kicks, shifting, cramped bladder. The whole shabang." Colin rested a hand on the peak of his rotundity.
"Well I wouldn't mind a lazy afternoon. Let me just grab the bill and I'll go pull the Escalade around."
"You don't have to, I mean you've already let me take a hit out of your grocery bill..." Colin protested.
"I insist. You are my guest. Consider it a bonus for all the pleasant flights you've provided me. Prior to this tour, I wouldn't step foot onto a plane. You helped me out more than you know." I grinned, feeling a bit cheesy for that comment but it was a genuine thought.
After I paid the bill and laid out the tip, I helped Colin up from his seat and assisted his waddle to the door. With a hop and a skip, I started up the Escalade and pulled around to pick him up.
On the ride back we made small talk about my work, I told him an anecdote about a guy's water breaking during a book signing and my assistance with the subsequent delivery. The man named his baby after me.
I pulled into the driveway and escorted him into the house. He was eager to go rest in the guest room, so I set about tidying up the living room. After 10 minutes had passed, I started to feel curious, horny. Silently I walked down the hall to the guest quarters. The door was ajar and I eased it open. He was out like a light, his heavy breathing filling the room. He tossed himself from his side and rested on his back, his shirt riding up ever so generously to expose a good portion of his belly.
I felt anxious and conflicted about watching him, my recent foray into voyeurism was entirely new to me. I'd treated hundreds of pregnant men, quite a few would score a 10. But Colin...there was something different about him. Not perfectly handsome, his aesthetic was fairly normal, but somehow that added volumes to his attractiveness. He was cute, innocent. Something about his essence just begged to be dominated. My hands were drawn to my jeans and after a moment of weighing my conscience, I was unbuttoning them. I focused on his active mound as I stroked my hardening unit, fantasizing about knocking him up again. These few days I have with him, so fleeting. I want them to last longer.
"My pregnant slut boy." I hoarsely muttered under my breath, losing my grip on the weight of this situation as my stroking quickened. I briefly shut my eyes, quivering with electric sensation.
"Dr. Roberts?"
I opened my eyes. Oh fuck. Ch. 10
"Um...Dr. Roberts, what are you doing?" Colin was sitting upright in his bed. His eyes weren't making contact with mine, no, they were shifted downwards to my dick and the hand that held it.
"Uh, n-n-n-nothing." I stammered, it was too late to jump backwards and act startled myself. No, I was caught red-handed.
"Oh, you're definitely doing something." Colin's gaze remained fixed on my unit.
"I just..." Not finishing, I slipped it back into my boxer-briefs and turned to leave the doorway.
"Wait!" I stopped, sighed, and turned around. "You don't have to leave. I didn't want you to think that," he chuckled "I was...horrified or anything. I guess we've been kind of flirting a lot since I've been here." With a slight grunt, he shifted over to one side of the bed and patted the vacant space with his open palm. "Come sit down."
I walked over to the bed, questions racing through my mind. Was it happening? Did I just pull off a completely perverted act and not get screamed at? Was he going to...?
Colin grinned at me as I sat down, lifting my legs over onto the bed. "I think we should have gotten this out in the open sooner, I spent a whole night alone." His grin cut even harder into his face, his eyes chasing mine. I blushed as he grabbed one of my wrists and drew it to his cheek. I could feel baby soft skin, stubble on the lower half. My hand casually slid to the back of his neck, feeling the tips of his silky hair bristle at the touch. His pupils jumped in anticipation and I took it as my cue to pull his face into mine.
After the first kiss we became a flurry of lips, tongues, and teeth. Each kiss, nibble was accented by sharp intakes of air, we bathed in each other's scents. His musk was light, but alluring nevertheless. Laundry detergent with the faintest hint of sweat. Shortly, my hand began exploring, retreading over pathways that I had only been able to touch as a medical professional. First I attacked his belly, where the hem of his shirt rode up ever-so generously. His skin was ultra-taut, to the point where I could feel the slightest of movements underneath. A sharp kick pressed against my open palm. While our faces were pressed together, I could hear the quietest of moans that each successive kick elicited. His belly continued to jump as its inhabitants tested their limbs and shifted into new positions. Out of the corner of my eye, I was able to spot his raised bellybutton and sic my fingers upon it. I twiddled it like one would adjust a volume knob and Colin arched up in response, his erection straining against fabric to reach my thigh.
From his bellybutton, I changed my strategy and began to disrobe the both of us. As I removed my pants, I grabbed a condom from my wallet and set it aside. Once he was completely naked, I resumed my attack. First on his engorged nipples. I took a dark, swollen nub into my mouth and began suckling vigorously. He vocalized his pleasure as I struck milk, and I continued to siphon from each one until I'd had my fill. My mouth continued its journey due south, nibbling, kissing, and licking at the giant dome. A trail of saliva painted over the linea negra, leading to that bellybutton that seemed to be wired to every nerve Colin had. I coiled my tongue around it, getting Colin to moan louder and louder. My hands ventured down to his twitching cock, already slick with precum. I coated my palm in the substance as I began to jerk him off, while simultaneously continuing my oral assault on his button.
We continued like this for some time, Colin's writhing becoming increasingly violent. He almost climaxed under my hand, and I let off. It was far too early for that. Not too roughly, I pushed Colin onto his back and hitched his legs up over my shoulders in order to access his hole. I kissed the inside of his hairy thighs and he began to loosen up for me. I parted his luscious bubble butt and my mouth began to ravage his opening. I rimmed him, my saliva providing ample lube for a few fingers to slip in. In and out, I pumped my fingers. Because he was closing in on his due date, I didn't have to loosen him up too much, but I continued fingering him a bit longer for dramatic effect.
The soundtrack of his groans, whimpers, and the occasional dirty pleading became louder as I lifted up on to my knees, his ankles still hitched up on my shoulders. I looked into his begging eyes, then at his stretched-to-the-limit pregnancy, then finally down to his pillow-y ass. Like an animal I ripped into the condom and sheathed myself, then plunged right in. I spread each palm onto his massive belly to anchor myself as I thrusted in and out, the babies swam actively under my hands. His mouth contorted with each successive stab, from a gaping "O" to a contracted lip bite. Our breathing matched each other, the panting and groaning climbing as we reached towards our climax. He came first, launching upwards and coating both of our torsos, squeaking in that submissive bottom way. I roared as I felt myself go into the rubber, fantasizing that it wasn't there and I was fertilizing him again.
After the last bit was milked out, I pulled out and tossed the condom aside before collapsing next to him. Our pants were loud, our chests heaved, we drew the sweat-drenched sheets up around our bodies. As he melded into my little spoon, I extended my hands once again to his massive belly as we drifted off to sleep, too tired to even clean up.
Chapter 11
I opened my eyes to the golden light of late afternoon streaming into the guest room. He was still asleep, his snoring a bit loud. The denizens of his belly, however, were wide awake. I fixated my gaze on his pregnancy for a while, watching the bustling activities of his three children. They would shift and kick, lightly testing the boundaries of their confinement. Colin groaned in his sleep, surely measuring the discomfort of their movements as dream obstacles. His face twitched and he turned over on his side, his belly now completely aimed in my direction. My hand jumped with excitement, but I hesitated a moment. What if he woke up? It was not in my character to act upon someone in their sleep, but there was something exciting about his vulnerability. Besides, it was only a belly rub.
With two exploratory fingers, I made contact with the skin of his belly. It was still startling how different it felt from any other skin. Soft, tight, yet pliant enough to encourage more contact. It was a tactile delight. I gasped lightly as a kick thumped against my fingers. The inhabitants squirmed with more fervor, noticing my presence. I traced a finger along his linea negra, a foot distorting a point along the line, his generously-popped bellybutton, the first bits of his happy trail on the underside of his belly. I was struck by awe, the desire to hold this moment forever. At the very least I could tuck it away in my mind and summon it at a moment's notice. Lightly I brushed his stretch marks. Many of my patients regretted and hated the crimson lines, but I always found them to be beautiful. Cocoa butter be damned! His were rather extensive, and displayed a gradient of reds and violets.
I explored his orb for what felt to be an hour. Colin never woke, only sounding out his dreams through the softest of noises. I wondered what his dreams were about. Were they nightmares? Fears about his impending delivery manifesting themselves into haunting antagonists? Or were they pleasant? Perhaps a white knight fantasy, something that I could slip into with persistence.
I thought about where this would go. Would I continue to see Colin? Would I still fancy him after he gave birth? Would I want to have more children with him? Would I be able to handle that many children? The thoughts churned in my head like a cement mixer. Pleasant images of a future together were forming in my mind. Colin on his second, nay, third pregnancy. I'd take him and the children to the park, lead his waddling form to the most perfect spot, and slowly lower him onto the cliché red-and-white checkered blanket. A lamaze class full of men, the teacher would smile appreciatively at me as I let Colin lean back into me. Colin attending book signings and press junkets with me, I'd be publishing a more intimate work detailing my life with a man who has provided me with many children. Reporters would awe at us when I gave him a peck on the cheek and duck down to share the same with our unborn children.
Colin shifted again, turning to the other side. I slipped an arm around him, becoming his big spoon so I could continue to explore his body. Nestling my face into the back of his neck, I matched my breathing to his. Happily, I placed my nose against his hair and breathed in.
Chapter 12. I'm on a roll! (Kind of)
A week had passed. One blissful week of nothing but play. We spent most of the week at the house. Most of the time my hands plastered to his belly, whether it be for an innocent belly rub or something to hold onto while I fucked his brains out. He was incredibly appreciative, falling into his career habits to show some gratitude. I would catch him clearing off the table and fluffing pillows when he thought I wasn't around. Had he a beverage cart, he would have felt right at home. We talked here and there, but not as much as I would have liked. Granted, I was never one to initiate conversation and half the time he was asleep. I couldn't begin to imagine how tuckered out I would have felt if I were carrying three almost-full term babies.
The babies were beginning to drop, one hung so low that you could feel his head on the bottom curve of Colin's belly. I'd constantly tease him, "Not long now!". Colin would nervously chuckle and cup the head with his palm. He almost cleaned out my fridge, and rather than leave him alone or force him to waddle around a supermarket, I began ordering in.
This afternoon I had ordered some pizzas. We waited in the living room for the food to arrive, my arm wrapped around his shoulders. He channel surfed while I lifted his shirt to play with his belly some more. The babies became very responsive to my touch, perhaps to the point where they identified me as their father. I tapped the crown of his dome and smirked when the skin rippled in response. Like I had done many times this week, I kissed the top of his head, taking a quick whiff of his scent. Even though we had been using the same shampoo for several days, he had a unique smell that I couldn't get enough of.
The doorbell rung and he lifted up so I could head to the door. I paid the deliveryman and brought the steaming boxes in, setting them on the coffee table. With a spring in my step, I bounded to the kitchen and grabbed some plates and paper towels. By the time I got back, he was already grabbing a slice. We each began chowing down, the only sounds in the room being chewing and the low chatter of the TV. We had been kind of silent today, I had hoped it was one of those comfortable silences. At least on his end. I worried about what he was thinking. After his third slice, he wiped his lips on a napkin and cleared his throat.
"I've been thinking..." He said, tapering off for a moment. Searching my inquisitive eyes.
"Yeah?"
"I want to go back to Arizona to have my babies."
No one said anything for a few moments.
"I don't think you shou--"
Colin interrupted. "I know it's dangerous to go alone, and I was wanting to ask you if you would like to come with me. I can pull a few strings and get us both business class flights back to Phoenix for free. But if even if you don't want to come, I really need to go."
I nervously tore a piece of crust. "Well, I can't force you to stay here. It's completely against anything I would recommend, you would do best to stay put until you deliver. But if you want me to, I will come along. I'd rather attend you than let you leave by yourself."
His mouth splayed itself into a grin and he set his plate down to hug me, my arms extended behind him with a pizza slice still in hand.
Fuck. I wish he would just stay here.
Chapter 13
Impatiently I stared at my watch. Colin and I had been in the longest line to check our baggage, bordering now on 20 minutes. He stood in front of me, his hand planted firmly into his lower back. I felt somewhat bad for thinking of my feet when he was a paper-thin dam holding back the Nile. I reached a hand out and touched the same area. His shirt was damp, from sweat no doubt, so I moved it up slightly and began kneading small, tight circles into his tense flesh. He turned his head and smiled at me.
"I wish I had a backdoor we could slide through to get us to the gate faster." He smirked, then blushed. "Whoops, that sounded bad."
I felt myself get excited at the mere mention brought about by his accidental innuendo. "Don't worry about me, how are you feeling?"
"I could definitely sit down. These guys have dropped so low, I'm being anchored down."
I nodded. The babies had definitely dropped. So much, in fact, that his belly was almost deformed in shape. No longer a perfect sphere, it was obvious that the babies were in position. I was pretty nervous, honestly, he could go into full-blown labor at any moment. He hadn't noticed any strong contractions, nothing aside from his usual Braxton-Hicks, but I was afraid of everything sneaking up on him at once. That terrible situation where out of nowhere someone's water breaks and contractions are suddenly 3 minutes apart.
"Oh wow! Look at you!" An unfamiliar voice projected in our direction. Looking up I saw a man walking away from the baggage check-in desk. He looked to be about in his mid-30's, dark hair with a hint of a receding hairline, and an equally large (and low) pregnant belly. "I see you're brave enough to fly too."
Colin smiled at the man. "Just want to get home before they get here."
"Oh, you're having multiples too? I've got twins myself. I'm headed to a family reunion in L.A., I wanted to stay home but they were persistent on getting me to attend."
"Triplets here. And you must love your family to do something like this. When are you due?" Colin drew a hand to his distended belly.
"In 4 days." The man mirrored Colin, smoothing his sweater over his formidable belly.
"Two here. I'm Colin, by the way." He extended a hand.
"Travis." The man returned the shake.
"Oh, and this is my..." Colin looked at me, not sure of what to say.
"Doctor, well, friend. Mike." I held my palm out, swallowing a lump at Colin's indecision on how to categorize me.
"A visiting doctor, eh? What a nice thing to have." Travis grinned, giving me a quick scan with his eyes. I could already tell what he was thinking. "Where are you guys headed?"
"Phoenix." We both said at the same time.
"Flight 2876? I'm catching a connecting flight there." He glanced at his boarding pass to confirm the number.
"Yep." Colin smiled back.
"Then I guess I'll see you at the gate." Travis waddled off.
"Made a new friend, eh?" I nudged Colin.
"He was just someone nice and in the same predicament I'm in. Nothing serious." Colin peered into my eyes and gave me a quick peck on the mouth. I felt the lump in my throat dissolve. I picked up our luggage and shifted ahead in the line one space. It would be a while before we got to the gate. Chapter 14
Only 20 minutes until we could board the plane. The terminal was incredibly packed with people, so I gave up my seat for Colin to sit in, opting to sit cross-legged on the floor. Colin and Travis had been chatting noisily while I buried myself in my book. I didn't want to seem anti-social, but I really couldn't relate to a lot of what they were talking about. Mostly entertainment kind of stuff, I hadn't really watched TV for well over 4 years. At least not enough to keep current with a running series.
Occasionally I would lower my paperback enough to get a good glance at the two of them while they were immersed in each other. They were leaned in close together, crowding around the metal armrest that divided them. Their bellies were incredibly close to touching, leading to thoughts that made me happy to be sitting in the position that I was. Travis looked a bit older than either of us, but I still thought he looked incredibly fuckable. Part of me wanted to pull him aside and see if he would be interested in a layover in Phoenix, but that would have to remain dormant in my fantasy.
The time crept by, I barely made more than 3 pages progress on my book. Most of my time was fixated on thinking of ways to slip into their conversation, but most attempts were aborted when they would suddenly change topics. At long last, a woman announced over the PA that our flight would start boarding first and then business classes. I sprung up quickly and hoisted Colin onto his feet, wobbling with him as he obtained his balance. I offered the same hand to Travis, but he didn't take it.
"I'm in coach, no need for me to get up yet." He smirked, rubbing his belly.
"Oh, you poor thing." Colin sympathized. "How are you going to fit in that seat for that long?"
"I'll make due. I always have." He smiled in a vain attempt to hide his frustration with the upcoming flight.
I pulled Colin aside. "Is there any way that we could upgrade his seat this close to takeoff? I'll pay for the upgrade, there's no way he should be sitting in coach."
Colin paused a moment. "Let me go talk to the desk attendant." He began waddling off.
I turned to Travis. "We'll be right back." I caught up to Colin (he hadn't made it very far) and we both approached the desk. Luckily, the woman up there recognized him immediately.
"Colin, what are you doing flying in your condition? You've already dropped! You should stay put until those babies are out." She play-scolded him.
"Give me a break, Stacy. I'm just headed home. Say, I need you to do me a favor." Colin placed his hand on the desk.
"It'll cost you." She said with a wink. "What is it?"
"There's another gentlemen on this flight who's just as far along as me, and he's stuck in coach. Do you think he can get an upgrade? We're willing to pay on his behalf."
"Lemme see, lemme see." Stacy tapped at the keyboard in front of her, eyes darting across the screen as she scoured the data. "Oh shoot, darlin'. It's not looking so good. This flight is pretty packed."
Colin snapped his fingers.
"I'll tell you what. Give me his name, and if there's a no-show, we'll bump him up for you. Free of charge." Stacy grinned, happy to help in some way.
Colin complied and we both returned to give Travis the potentially good news. He was more than happy to hear about our valiant efforts.
"Give me a hand, I need to get up on my feet and give you guys a hug."
I hoisted him up and he immediately latched on to me, his belly pressing into my own. One of his children kicked at my abs. In my head, I sung Disney songs to prevent from getting an erection.
After Colin and Travis got their hugs out, we got in line to board. I grasped his hand.
"Just 4 more hours until you're home." Chapter 15
The roar of the engines faded into white noise as we reached soaring altitude. I'd become surprisingly well-adjusted to flying since I started my tour and I found myself easily lulled to sleep once I became comfortable in my chair. I took a quick glance at Colin, then once more over at Travis in the next aisle, and then drifted into a light nap.
My dreamless slumber was slowly scattered when I felt something rapidly prod my side. "Mike! Mike!"
I shook my head, groaning. I really hoped this wasn't about the beverage cart. As I stirred, my vision came into focus. Colin was animated, panicking. I quickly collected myself. "What's wrong?"
"Travis just went into labor."
I turned my head in Travis' direction to confirm this. A few flight attendants were crowded around his aisle seat, his legs were sprawled out at an odd angle. Harsh breathing sounded throughout the cabin, the rest of the passengers were silent in anticipation. I unbuckled my safety belt, grabbed my carry-on kit from the overhead compartment, and approached the scene. A flight attendant turned to me.
"Dr. Roberts, right? This man just went into labor, he says his contractions are coming fast. We're going to land the plane at the next possible airport, but there's a snow storm developing over the midwest and we won't be able to land for another hour. We need you to check him."
I nodded at the flight attendant and bent down on one knee to look at Travis and see how far into labor he has gotten.
His face was beet-red, and he was currently breathing through a contraction. A rather strong one judging by his reaction and the visible clenching of his belly through his shirt.
"Has his water broken yet?" I inquired, noting the dry seat and pants but wanting to be thorough.
"No, not yet." A flight attendant replied.
"We need to get him on the ground and out of this seat, prepare some towels in case it does." I commanded, waiting on the contraction to subside so we could move him out of his seat. I looked back at Colin, his head peeking over the row of seats in front of him. Travis continued to pant and groan through the contraction, despite my repeated reminders that he should focus on breathing. He was already sweaty and expressing a more painful reaction than one would experience in early labor, which was quite worrisome. The contraction softened and a male flight attendant set to helping me move him to his feet.
We walked him to the partitioned area where the beverage carts were located and set him on a few towels. I removed his pants and set to checking on his entrance. Like Colin he had dark leg hair and a delightful plumpness about his lower body, albeit a bit skinnier in the leg and thigh region. I fished a pair of latex gloves and a flashlight from my carry-on and began investigating. He was already dilated to 6cm, leaving a distinct possibility in the air that he might go into delivery before the plane could land.
I clicked off my flashlight and pulled away from his lower region just in time. Another contraction fired up violently and his water broke, gushing out of his body and spilling onto the towels. Travis began wailing in agony. I tried to comfort him, grasping his hand and holding it. Despite his firm grip placing uncomfortable pressure on my hand, I couldn't help but feel a bit of arousal at watching this grown man wail with pain. I bit my lip to keep from getting hard, and instead focused on helping him through the lengthier contraction. I pulled his sweater up over his enormous belly and felt near the base to get an idea of where the babies were. One was very close to the point of exiting the womb, and would likely be in the birth canal soon. He heaved and sobbed a little as the pain died down. I patted the back of his hand gently. "I'll be right back Travis, just stay put."
I hopped up and went back to the business class section to check on Colin. He looked incredibly worried, I'm certain that he heard the cries of Travis' labor. "How's he doing?"
"About as good as he sounds. I'm afraid he might be giving birth before we land, at least for one of the babies." I watched a look of fear flush over Colin, followed by the subtlest grimace of pain. "Are...are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." Colin smiled, his eyes somewhat betraying him. Then he tossed forward a bit, his hands grabbing at his head. "No...I'm not." His voice muffled from between his palms. "I think..." his voice cleared as he moved them away from his face, "I'm in labor too."
Chapter 16
Both Travis and Colin sat before me. Side-by-side, bare bottoms exposed, sweaty and panting. I was on the verge of flogging myself. I had never become aroused in this sort of situation before, it had always just been my job. But since my crush on Colin, all these dormant sexual urges had been set loose in my mind. I shook my head and focused on the task at hand. Travis was now at 9 cm and would start pushing on the next contraction. Both of the twins' heads pressed visibly on the bottom curve of his belly, testing the elasticity of his skin. Colin was going a bit slower, but still progressing at a steady rate towards delivery. Only at 4 cm, he was handling the contractions like a champ. One of the flight attendants took my instructions on how to comfort them and fetched whatever I needed from the plane's supplies. We had almost reached the 45 minute mark, but we were still a considerable distance from a runway to land safely on, extending the timeline of our landing by another 30 minutes.
Travis' contraction died down for a brief few seconds, only to come back with a vengeance. He panted and groaned. "CAN I PUSH YET?!"
I looked below and nodded when I saw that his canal was fully dilated. He only responded with grunts as his face became once more flushed with crimson. His delivery was well underway now, it was now certain that one of his babies would be born on this flight. The attendant wiped his drenched brow as he bore down, his grunts devolving into primal screams. I looked into his face from between his tightly-clutched kneecaps and over his enormous mound. "You're doing good, Travis! Keep it up!"
I glanced over at Colin, who was busy working on his breathing. His cheeks puffed in and out like a blowfish. A solitary bead of sweat drifted down his forehead and I immediately cleaned it up with a towel. "You too." I smiled at him. Colin simply nodded back and focused on the contraction. The babies were also much more visible on the bottom of his belly, drawing closer and closer to the birth canal. Fortunately, his water hadn't broken yet. At that thought, Colin grunted heavily and another gush sounded throughout the cabin. Colin gritted his teeth as the worst contraction yet tore through him. I grabbed for his hand. "You can do it baby, just breathe and stay strong."
I bounced back to Travis, his screaming still very loud. Looking down below, I had yet to see the head but I expected to see it quite soon. "Keep pushing, Travis." He grunted loudly once more before bearing down. The smallest curve of a head was now slipping its way lower towards his entrance. "I see the head! You're getting closer!" I announced triumphantly. I reached out to both men and they each took a hand, crushing both as was typical in this scenario. I grimaced and held my own while they distracted themselves from the pain.
Colin's contraction subsided, and I moved the wet towels and brushed his genitals aside, gazing at his entrance. It was stretched considerably more, at least 6 cm. I gulped. This, too, was coming faster.
I continued to bounce back and forth between the two, offering comfort as best I could and vigilantly monitoring their progress. After 10 minutes, Colin was already dilated to 8 cm and the first of Travis' babies had begun to crown. His tormented cries rang louder than ever as the head pressed against the tightly-stretched ring of muscle. "NNNNGGGHHH!" He wailed, tears streaming down his cheeks as he pushed with all of his might for a solid minute.
"On the next one, you can do it. You'll clear it!" I reassured him. He tiredly nodded his head before resuming his efforts on the next contraction. As his pain peaked, the head slipped through. I quickly cleared the nostrils as I cradled it and waited patiently for him to gather his strength for the next contraction. Once again he struggled and strained as he pushed the rest of the baby's body from his. A newborn's wail filled the cabin, and I thought I heard a collective sigh of relief from the passengers. I clamped and cut the cord, then set the newborn on his chest.
My focus now shifted back to Colin, who had experienced a few more contractions during the birth of Travis' first child. Looking below, I saw that he had actually dilated to the full 10 cm. "Wow, that was fast."
"I nnghh--know!" He managed to get out. "I have to...I have to push!"
I nodded at him, smiling as his sweaty hair clung to his forehead. "Go ahead, you're all clear to go." Chapter 17
I wiped my brow before crouching down to catch the crowning head. Looking up over Colin's pregnant majesty, I took in the pained contortion of his face. God, he was beautiful. "Strong push Colin!" My gloved hand cradled the head as it struggled against the expanding flesh. The hole slowly gave as the head ballooned out, heralded by pained gasps. As the usual procedure, I cleaned out the nostrils and supported the head through the next big push. The baby slid out fluidly, somewhat of a surprise for me.
"GODDAMNIT!" Travis screamed, holding his deflated orb as he pushed through another contraction.
"I'll be right with you Travis, I just need to cut this cord and clean the baby up." I hurriedly set to work and presented Colin's first child to him. Reluctantly, I left Colin's side and checked up on Travis, who already had his second baby far down into his canal.
"Gonna fucking kill him! Gonna kill all of them too! No sense in making me fly like this!" Travis growled in a feral voice.
I lightly made a hushing noise, but stopped when I looked into his ferocious eyes. "We're almost done here, Travis. Just keep your eyes on the prize." I lightly dabbed at some fluid on his bottom with a dry towel, trying to avoid further irritating his already sensitive skin. Weak gasps escaped Travis as he strained through his efforts.
"Stay strong, Travis. Stay strong." I coached him on, watching the baby's head inch closer and closer to his entrance.
Colin gave out a pained gasp.
"What's wrong, sweetie?" Already knowing, but hoping that he wasn't already having more contractions. I was a bit tied up at the moment.
"Ga-gotta push. Really bad!" Colin cried out.
"Push, but not too hard. I need some time for Travis to finish up here. PUSH TRAVIS!" I egged the older man on as I stared into his canal, the baby almost at the point of crowning.
"OH GOD THE PRESSURE!" Travis howled.
"You'll be okay, this crowning won't hurt as badly. You're already stretched from your first." I attempted to reassure him. It still wasn't a walk in the park. His grunts, barks, savage cries became more boisterous as the head pressed against the more pliant ring.
"IT BURNS! IT BURNS!" He cried.
"Just focus, you're almost done! One huge push!" I readied my hands as the head lurched out from the canal, stretching the skin for the last time. Travis continued screaming as the baby crowned and the head passed. Colin joined in, I was almost afraid to see how much progress he'd made on the second baby. I once again repeated the process for taking care of the baby, working even quicker as the body passed. I handed Travis his second baby, now perched next to its sister on his pillowy chest. I laid out another towel to catch the eventual placenta and turned my focus completely to Colin.
"Okay, let me check on you." I gave a quick peck to his cheek, tasting salt on my lips. Perhaps just sweat? Maybe even tears? The baby was much closer than I thought, a mere inch from crowning.
"He's almost at the entrance. Just keep pushing as hard as you can with the start of each contraction."
Colin nodded and followed my instructions, grunting wildly as he pushed. The head pressed against the ring, it seemed a bit bigger than the first one. I gulped, not sure whether to notify him or not. "Big push!" Colin's voice began to crack as he struggled to clear the next one.
"You've got it! You've got it!" I cheered as I watched the bulbous head bulge out against the skin. I bit my lip, hoping he wouldn't tear but knowing that it was a distinct possibility. Colin's cries rang louder than before and with one triumphant yell, he pushed out the head. The rest of the body quickly followed. I set the clean baby on Colin's chest, using the time to both share his awe at his efforts and enjoy the break before the last one came.
Despite the loud cries of the newborns, I heard a wet plop and looked to Travis. He had just passed his afterbirth. I dug my face into Colin's sweaty hair and gave him a big kiss before tending to Travis' mess. The flight attendant returned and helped me clean up the soiled towels and wrapped flesh.
"We should be landing in the next 10 minutes." He notified me as he stuffed a towel into a bag.
I chuckled. "We're almost done here, but better late than never."
Colin groaned behind me.
"Is it time again?" I turned around to look at him.
He nodded and squinted his face, preparing himself for the last series of pushes. I took the babies from him and wrapped them up carefully, placing them onto airline pillows. I repeated the same for Travis' children, but making sure to set them a considerable distance from the others to avoid a mix-up.
"This...gah! This one's way faster!" Colin grunted, pushing with renewed vigor.
I perched myself between his legs and watched the steady progress of the last head descending through his canal. His labored noises intensified as the baby inched closer and closer, finally reaching the end and crowning. I gave it the same treatment as I did the others and presented the final baby to a very worn out Colin.
"I told you we should have waited in Boston." I joked, lightly touching a finger to the newborn. It instinctively wrapped its hand around my finger.
Colin gasped. "It thinks you're its daddy."
I smiled. "Well, I'd like to be, if you'd let me."
He smiled back at me. "Are you sure you're ready for this? It's going to be hell rearing three babies."
I excitedly chuckled at his response. "Hell, I'll rear twenty with you if I have to."
Colin was all grins. "I think we'll have to talk about that later. Oh!" He looked down at his chest, milk beading up and running down in a light stream.
"All this crying is making your mammary glands activate, they're probably pretty hungry." I said matter-of-factly. Looking over to Travis, I saw he was experiencing the same problem. Picking up a newborn each, I taught both of them how to get their babies to latch onto a nipple and when to switch them. One by one, they each fed their children while the plane made a safe landing in Little Rock.
The EMS quickly responded, and both of them were taken by ambulance to the local hospital for observation and care. I rode with the both of them, beaming with sunshine all the way. Epilogue
I stared intently at my inbox, trying to will a response from my recipient. It had been a week and I was going stir-crazy just waiting for the correspondence. Online shopping and flash versions of Tetris had served as decent distractions for my designated "computer time", but they still couldn't sate my crawling impatience. This email had to come through, I felt like so much was riding on it.
"Just respond already!" I slammed my fist down on the cherry-oak desk. Pens rattled in their holder. Clutching my forehead in the tips of my fingers, I took a few breaths and stood up. I could use a sandwich and a glass of milk.
I walked down the hallway and prepared my late-night meal, something I knew was a terrible idea. But hey, a little indulgence was okay every once in a while. Like a little boy I rushed back to my computer room, eagerly believing that something had arrived in my 5-minute absence. Alas, nothing.
I ate my sandwich and washed it down with the milk. After 10 more minutes of waiting, I decided to give it a rest and go to bed. I reached to turn off the lamp and then a minute detail flashed on my screen. One unread message.
My heart skipped a beat and I clicked on the message, grinning as I read what confirmed my wishes. A hand rested on my shoulder.
"Is that what I think it is?" A voice accompanied the touch.
I whirled around in my desk chair, meeting Colin's bump. I gave it a kiss. "Yep! I'm getting published again!" Standing on my feet, I grabbed his cheeks with my hands and brought him in for a smooch.
"I'm so happy for you, baby." Colin came up for air after the lengthy kiss.
I continued to kiss down his neck. "They...want...you...on...the...book...tour..." I pinched the bottom him of his shirt, pulling it over his head and continued my assault down his torso.
Colin giggled. "Really? What for?" He gasped as I nibbled on his bellybutton.
"Who better to bring along with a renowned male obstetrician than the bearer of his children?" I continued licking at his slightly stretched skin. "It's a two-month tour. You're not due for three, you think you're up for it."
"Y-yeah. Hey, let me finish putting the triplets to bed, they start pre-K tomorrow." He ran his fingers through my hair.
"What about Abby?" I inquired, getting back on my feet, eager to help out in any way to expedite our way to the bedroom. I needed to spend all the pent-up energy I had stored over the week, waiting to hear from the publisher.
"I just put her down in her crib." Colin picked his shirt up and pulled it over his belly.
"Good, then hurry up and meet me in 10 minutes." I gave his belly a rub, one of the twins kicking at my hand. "I want to test out a few things I bought online." I snickered and slapped his butt as he walked off.
Looking behind my desk, I pulled up a few shipping boxes. I opened them and pulled out the fleshlight and the love swing. This would be an interesting celebration.
