I am the Very Model of a Modern Type of Pregnant Man

Permalink Closed

I was hit with some divine inspiration last night, and I'm glad to share with everyone what I wrote. I wasn't sure initially if this was the right place to put it, seeing how it's not a story, and we have no place for Mpreg LYRICISM, I just assumed it was here. Any fans of Gilbert and Sullivan will get this instantaneously. It's a parody of "The Major-General's Song" about pregnant men. Hope you guys enjoy.

Pregnant Man's Song

By Mpregguy

I am the very model of a modern type of pregnant man

I always have an obstetrician and a midwife right on hand.

My belly is quite round and full, and has so much gravidity

It’s like I have a basketball that I have placed inside of me.

I waddle when I walk, and I am feeling that much heavier,

But that is what I get because I chose to be a carrier.

But I do not regret it, for you see I like my belly’s size.

And when some people see it they just can’t believe their very eyes.

I go to my appointments, see my due date is in seven weeks

And when I’m at the mirror I will try to sneak some belly peeks.

And frequent urination really always has me on the can,

I am the very model of a modern type of pregnant man.

There are so many reasons why I’m blessed with this fertility

‘Cause alien insemination is a possibility

But I was more conventional; I have a boyfriend that I need

To cum inside me some odd night and knock me up with just his seed.

The baby has a father, yes; he is a good committed Dad,

And we are both quite grateful for this time and fun we both have had.

But I had no idea I’d a uterus inside of me,

So I admit I was quite unprepared for this whole pregnancy.

I really love my boyfriend; see he has so much virility

And in my new condition I am laced with much fragility.

But he is always there to boost my confidence up when he can

I am the very model of a modern type of pregnant man.

And every morning I wake up and feel the baby move his feet.

And when I feel the movement I will move my hand down for to meet

The curve along my belly, feel this stomach I will proudly tout

I fiddle with my bellybutton, which is right now popping out.

Oh yes I am quite thankful that I can maintain a pregnancy

But birth I hope will come quite soon and be with it some brevity.

I hope it’s an experience that I can overcome and pass.

Though really I am scared because the baby’s coming out my ass.

I understand this pregnancy has taken quite a bit from me

My boyfriend says the next time we have kids he will have them happily.

And even though this pregnancy was according to my plans

I am the very model of a modern type of pregnant man.

This was lovely :) I think it's our first demonstration of mpreg poetry!! Poetry of course is welcome in the Stories section... poetry is just another way of telling a story, and this was surely well done. I love it

Bravo! I made the connection the moment I saw the topic title and just sang the whole thing aloud. Awesome job!

Is this a parody of some sort? I feel like I've heard these lyrics to some song before.

Yeah, it's a parody of a song that already exists. Which reminds me to ask the question. Just tell me if you do or not but I wanted to ask anyone who reads this:

Who here knows "The Major General's Song" by Gilbert and Sullivan?

I ask this because I know some people have seen the parody, but don't really know the song it's about. The original is called "The Major General's Song" and it's from a comedy-opera called "The Pirates of Penzance." The above song is a parody of that old tune.

Anyone who's interested in hearing the original so they can sing the lyrics to this one can do it by viewing the YouTube link:

Anyway, thanks for all the positive comments! I have written so many other parodies of this song and this one just came to me one night while I was lying in bed.
